Itinerary

Day 1: Hurghada - Luxor - Aswan
	Early pick-up time from your hotel in Hurghada around 05.00 am then driver to Luxor via Qena governorate. It takes around 4 hours. You will start your tour from the West Bank of the River Nile or the afterlife side. You will explore with your guide Valley of the kings, Hatshepsut temple, and the colossi of Memnon.
Valley of the Kings
	It is known that Luxor was the capital of ancient Egypt during the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties or what's called the New Kingdom era. The Kings of the New Kingdom choose to be buried in the valley of the kings. 62 kings were buried in 62 tombs totally dug inside the mountains and they took 3 different designs.
	Why the valley of the kings? Why they changed the designs of the tombs? Who dug the tombs? What is the difference between works and slaves in Egypt? What about the colors? What is the meaning behind what you will see on the walls? Why we found 42 kings in one place called Al Deir El Bahri CACHETTE in 1881? How and why they mummified their kings?
	All these questions and more and their answers you will know from your guide. 3 tombs are included in the tickets with the opportunities to use your phone (not camera) inside the tombs.
Hatshepsut temple
	Hatshepsut temple is a unique mortuary temple located on the West bank of the River Nile and it is one of the most beautiful sites on the west bank of the Nile. Hatshepsut was the only female monarch to rule for every long term for almost 23 years and she was the daughter of King Thutmose I, the half-sister and wife of Thutmose II, and stepmother of Thutmose III. Hatshepsut temple was designed into the cliff and it consists of 3 terraces connected with two ramps.
Colossi of Memnon
	Colossi of Memnon are so huge two statutes once decorated the entrance of the biggest mortuary temple on the west bank of the Nile. The statues are carved from one single block of stones, and each weighs 720 tons. The name Memnon came from the Greek hero Memnon who fell at Troy.
	In 27 B.C., a fierce earthquake in Luxor caused severe damages to both statues. Moreover, many cracks appeared in both statues. hence why strange sounds were occasionally heard due to wind passing through the cracks. That’s why they called them the singing statues or the Vocal Memnon.
Lunch
	Try a typical Egyptian lunch in one of the local restaurants with a Nile view before you will proceed to your next stop.
Karnak temple
	Karnak temple, also the temple of Amun is the largest religious temple in the world. The biggest open Museum with its complex of Pylons, Obelisks, Chapels, columns, statues, Sacred lakes, and sanctuaries. Karnak is considered an invaluable historical site and resource of our information about the evolution of ancient Egypt.
	Open your heart and mind and listen to the stories behind each part of the temple and how it was saved between 2001-2003 with a long-term conservation treatment plan. Most of the New Kingdom kings added parts to the Karnak temple-like Tuthmosis III, Ramses II, Seti I, Hatshepsut, Amenhotep III, and Akhenaton.
Luxor to Aswan
	At the end of your day, we will take the first-class train to Aswan from Luxor around 18.00 pm. Upon arrival at Aswan, you will check-in at your hotel and a free night at your leisure.
Day 2: Aswan highlights
	Enjoy your breakfast then you will start your day at Aswan attractions. You will start your tour with the Aswan High Dam and on the way, you will pass the Aswan dam. The old Dam was built in 1902 and it was raised two times later. The High Dam or the rock-fill dam was inaugurated in 1971 and it helps to control the flood, serve the irrigation needs in Egypt and Sudan, and generates power.
	You will then move to the next stop, Egypt's finest granite stone source. The quarries from where the ancient Egyptians cut their Obelisk and statues. Queen Hatshepsut ordered to cut the biggest Obelisk from the granite quarries but they found some huge cracks in the stone and they abandoned the project.
	End your Aswan highlights by sailing with a motorboat to one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt, the Philae temple. The cult center of the goddess Isis, goddess of love and motherhood. Many buildings there like Hathor temple, the Ptolemaic Mamisi, Kiosk of Trajan, the Nilometer, and much more inside the complex.
	Free time at your leisure in Aswan souk or you may like to participate in one of Aswan's optional tours like Nubian Museum, Nubian village, Botanical Garden, and Elephantine island before you take the first class train from Aswan to Qena.
Qena to Hurghada
	Upon arrival at Qena railway, you will join your driver at your hotel in Hurghada.
