All about the trip

This buggy tour takes you all the way to the top. Twice. That’s two mountains, with all the trails, thrills and amazing views you can handle. Along the way, you’ll tackle gravel paths, rocky trails and steep slopes in these amazingly fun buggies. We will start at our base camp, just 15 minutes from the city. That’s where you get the gear and training you need for a safe and exciting buggy adventure.

Start driving your buggy on a lonely trail in the backlands of Reykjavik. Following the trail, you will reach Hengill mountain range and Hellisheiðarvirkjun, the power plant for Reykjavik. Your guide will lead you to an area that looks like the moon. First stop will be on top of a mountain with a stunning view over Hengill mountain range. In good weather conditions, you can see Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull, two of the biggest volcanos of Iceland, as well. After your stop, you head back closer to Reykjavik. Your second stop will be on top of Hafrafell mountain. A great view over Reykjavik is waiting for you.

All drivers must be at least 17 years of age and have a valid full driver’s license (although it is not necessary to bring it along).
Passengers have to be at least 6 years of age, but height does matter. Safety is our top priority.
Legal guardians must sign for all passengers under 17 years of age.
Use of alcohol & drugs is strictly forbidden prior to and during any tour.

Please at our base camp be 15 minutes before departure.

What to take with you?

We recommend you to bring proper shoes. Please do not wear high heels, sandals, flip flops or open toed shoes. Also, please wear outdoor clothes suitable for the weather conditions.

Cancellation more than 4 days prior to the starting date. Clients are automatically refunded the full booking price.
Cancellation within 48 to 96 hours prior to the starting date. Clients are entitled to a 50% refund of the booking price.
