Watch the sunrise by hot air balloon over the “world’s greatest open-air museum” in Luxor, Egypt. Witness an aerial view of the Valley of the Kings and Queens that once ruled over ancient Egypt. The intricate design of the tombs and Hatshepsut's temple is best appreciated by air. Watch the ancient past blend with modern life as you observe the city waking up and preparing for the day ahead.

Once you’ve booked your tour our English-speaking guide will contact you the day before the flight to arrange transportation from your accommodation. Pick up times vary between 5:00 and 8:00 am. On the morning of your flight you will be picked up in our air-conditioned car and taken to the launch site. On the journey, you can enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee as we cross the river Nile on the way to the West Bank.

At the site the pilot will give a safety briefing to all passengers before arriving; this is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Our pilots have extensive training, up to date licenses and experience. The inflation of the balloon will occur as you arrive at the site. During this time, the craft is being safety checked by the pilot and their ground crew. You will be able to witness the majesty of the hot air balloon taking form from the comfort of the vehicle on site.

Once ready and upright you will able to enter the balloon with the pilot. The takeoff is very gentle and smooth as you slowly float into the air. The flight itself will last an hour to an hour and a half depending on weather conditions. The pilot will act as a guide and point out some of the sights and share the history of the land. Take in the sites as you witness the rive Nile below and the Red Sea to the East, two ancient bodies of water with an incredible history. The pilot will occasionally rotate the balloon to make sure you experience the full panoramic view of the city. As you overlook Luxor this is the perfect photo opportunity. Take a selfie with the grand Luxor Temple in the background or capture the beauty of the morning glow on the land.

As the flight ends you will begin the gentle descent back to the starting point. During the descent you will be reminded of the safety procedures to insure a smooth landing. If the venue is suitable, the celebration of the landing will take place with locals dancing and singing; praising a safe return.
