All about the trip

Pamukkale – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is a place not to be missed on your holiday in Turkey! Admire the natural wonder of thermal pools. The warm water in Cleopatra’s Spa directly encourages you to take a bath.

But first, get your camera ready, because the views on the way to Pamukkale are really worth it. Along the way we will make a small stop for refreshment and relaxation. After about three hours of driving, we arrive at one of the destinations of our trip – the ancient city of Hierapolis. Here you can walk through the ruins of the city, its necropolis and also through the cemetery with almost 1200 graves, which are decorated with truly monumental sarcophagi. Another attraction of the city is the Roman baths, which are built of large stone blocks.

In the immediate vicinity of the city of Hierapolis is the main destination of our trip – Pamukkale or the so-called “Cotton Castle”. Its white terraces filled with hot water, created by calcium-rich thermal springs, can attract from a great distance. They began to be widely used as thermal baths in the second century BC. Pamukkale is an area of the tectonic fault and is still active due to unceasing volcanic activity. The water temperature, therefore, ranges from 35 ° C to 100 ° C.
