If you would like to spend a weekend in Skopje, this tour is a perfect option to see some more - Ohrid and Ohrid lake. UNESCO sites and the youngest European country Kosovo, joining our scheduled day tours.

This tour also includes 2 nights accommodation at 4* centrally located hotel in Skopje. On the last day, we can drop you at Skopje airport or you can have an additional tour to Matka lake near Skopje.

Itinerary

SATURDAY: Day tour to Kosovo
	Day tour to visit so-called, “the youngest European country”. Kosovo border is less than 30 minutes from Skopje city center. You will have a chance to visit the Kosovo capital - Pristina, the picturesque town of Prizren and the unique Orthodox church at Grachanica village.
	Grachanica monastery built by the Serbian king Stefan Milutin in 1321 on the ruins of a 6th-century basilica. The monastery was declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance and in 2006 it was placed on UNESCO's World Heritage List under the Medieval Monuments in Kosovo. The monastery is dedicated to Holly virgin. Pristina - the capital and largest city of Kosovo, also is the administrative center of the country. Optional visit to the Ethnology Museum (entrance fee apply).
	The picturesque town of Prizren, with its old bazaar, possibility to visit Sinan Pasha mosque.
	And for those who like light hike, possibility to climb to the Prizren fortress with a nice view of the valley. Drive back to Skopje via mountain road across Shara Park (subject of weather conditions) Arrival in Skopje in the evening. Overnight in Skopje
SUNDAY: Day tour to Ohrid and Ohrid lake
	The day tour starts at 08:30 with a long-distance transfer from Skopje. In less than 3 hours drive and one coffee stop, you will arrive in Ohrid. Upon arrival, guided walking tour with our guide in Ohrid Old town.
	Because of the religious importance and its numerous churches and monasteries, Ohrid is also famous under the name “Macedonian Jerusalem”. According to the history facts, there used to be 365 churches - a church for each day!
	In the 12th century, the city was also the seat of Archbishop of Ohrid. Since 1979 the city and the lake of Ohrid are under the protection of UNESCO. Do not miss having a nice panoramic picture from the Ohrid fortress and to visit the remains of the first Slavic university in the Balkans, today founded in the Holy area of Plaoshnik. You will go inside the recently rebuilt Church of St Clement and pass by the unique church of St. John - Kaneo. Finally, you will visit the cathedral church from the 10th century, St. Sofia.
	Free time lunch at some of the many traditional restaurants by Ohrid lake.
	In the afternoon, light drive along the lake coast to visit another pearl located on the south part of the lake. St. Naum monastery complex, with its unique church, originally built by St. Naum in the 9th century. Free time for a visit to the monastery or to have an unforgettable 40 minutes boat ride above the springs of Black Drim river (entrance fee and boat fee apply - to be paid on the spot)
	Later on, transfer back to Skopje and arrival in Skopje early in the evening. Overnight in Skopje
MONDAY: Departure
	Depending on your flight schedule private transfer to Skopje airport.
	If your flight is in the afternoon, possibility to have Matka lake tour in the morning (with a supplement of only 19 € per person )

You will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel in Skopje. Please let us know the name of your hotel during the booking process.

Final destination:

Same as the meeting point.

Cancellation more than 4 days prior to the starting date. Clients are automatically refunded the full booking price.
Cancellation within 48 to 96 hours prior to the starting date. Clients are entitled to a 50% refund of the booking price.
