All about the trip
You will start your day with a whale watching adventure from Reykjavik on our boat, departing at 9:00. We are located only a few minutes from the city center and are very easy to find. When sailing out you will be able to view the magnificent area surrounding Faxaflói bay, such as the city skyline, mountains, and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula (you can even see the Snæfellsnes glacier on clear days). The bay is full of birdlife and is the home of the magnificent whales. On our tours, we often spot minke whales, harbor porpoises, white-beaked dolphins and sometimes the great humpback whale.
Whale watching tour is usually around 3 hours (we are usually back in the Harbour between 12:00-12:30).
Once you are back from the whale watching you will be picked up at the Old Harbour by the Gray line bus for the next tour, where expert guides will take you on the afternoon tour to see Thingvellir national park, the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss, the queen of Icelandic waterfalls.
