All about the trip

Visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. You can observe the principles of feng shui incorporated in the architecture of the temple of the first emperor Đinh. Explore the flooded cave system of Tam Cốc on a tour by a traditional wooden boat called sampan. And enjoy picture-perfect views of a stunning landscape.

We take a 2-hour drive watching the high rises of Hanoi give way to a beautiful countryside of Ninh Bình province. Upon arrival to Hoa Lu we visit the Temple of Đinh Tiên Hoàng which was constructed incorporating the principles of feng shui with a mountain at the back and a river at the front.

The Temple of Lê Đại Hành has a peaceful ambience and displays beautiful statues of the Emperor and the Empress.

In Tam Cốc we begin our excursion by tasting local delicacies in a cosy restaurant. After the lunch break we board a sampan boat and set off on an amazing ride. It is time to get your camera ready as enchanting views of majestic cliffs and mysterious caves enfolds in front of us.

We can also visit Bích Động Pagoda and climb up the mountain to take in the wonderful view of the Bích Động and Tam Cốc below.
