All about the trip
Our Neuschwanstein Castle Tour starts right in the center of Munich at the main train station. We take you by bus (or train, depending on the season) directly to Neuschwanstein Castle. It’s only a two-hour ride from Munich. During the ride, our trained guides provide you with some interesting facts and historical background knowledge.
Throughout the whole Neuschwanstein Castle Tour, our specialized guides take care of you. We only provide you with specially trained guides who are fluent in English. They happily answer all your questions. While marveling at the stunning castle, beautiful landscape, and magical atmosphere, your guide tells you all about the impressive reign and tragic story of King Ludwig II, about his madness, his extravagant lifestyle, and his death.
Figuratively speaking, our Neuschwanstein Castle tour from Munich takes you back in time. But there is more to the castle than just history. The impressive building makes you feel like being inside a fairy tale, with righteous kings, wise queens, and beautiful princesses seemingly just around the next corner. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Neuschwanstein Castle was the inspiration for Disney’s Sleeping Beauty castle.
On our Neuschwanstein Castle tour, you’re not just getting a trip to the castle. Sure, the castle is the main event of the day tour. But the beauty of the Neuschwanstein Castle also unfolds from the distance. Therefore we also take you to the best vantage points. Take a perfect picture of the equally beautiful but less famous Hohenschwangau Castle.
You get a perfect view of the Neuschwanstein Castle from a bridge that is about 30 meters high. The Marienbrücke is famous for its views and a popular tourist spot. You also get to enjoy the typical Bavarian landscape and the spectacular panorama of mountains. If time and weather permit, we can even visit the lovely lake at the foot of the castle and try the water for a swim. You can also enjoy an easy hike through a beautiful canyon, in which you can see some small waterfalls. Just take in the beautiful scenery.
