All about the trip

Start your day with a private pick-up from your hotel. Your first stop will be Old Cairo also known as Christian Coptic Cairo which is among the most important locations visited by the Holy Family. Their spiritual impact can be still felt in the area. Joseph, Mary, and the infant Jesus were hiding in a cave, above which in later years the Church of Abu Serga was built. This, and the whole area of the Fort of Babylon, is a destination of pilgrimage not only for the Egyptians but also for Christians from around the world.

There you will be able to visit and enter the Church of Abu Serga and St. Barbara, the Hanging Church, and the old Jewish synagogue – Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Enjoy your delicious lunch and continue to the Citadel of Cairo where you can visit the most famous mosque in Cairo, the Great Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha also known as Alabaster Mosque.

Then proceed to one of the oldest streets in Egypt, El Moez Le Din Allah Street, with various monuments spread along both sides, such as Bab al-Futuh and Bab al-Nasr.

Later move towards the northern side of the city, in El Darb El Asfar, the most ancient quarter of Islamic Cairo. You can see here monuments such as Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Barquq and school in Nahassen, El Aqmar Mosque, the Mosque of El Saleh Tala, the Blue Mosque, the Dome, hospital and school of Qalawun, and more.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
