All about the trip
On our Munich to Salzburg day trip, we visit Mozart’s birthplace, follow his footsteps, and you learn many interesting stories about the musical genius. But Salzburg is not only Mozart’s birthplace; it also offers many other sights. The historical charm of the Austrian city immediately captures its visitors.
You can stroll through the old alleys, enjoy the royal atmosphere in the Mirabell Garden, and visit traditional cafés such as the Fürst, where you can eat an original Mozartkugel (a typical candy from Salzburg). With the gondola, it is easy to reach the fortress mountain, where you can observe the stunning 900-year-old Hohensalzburg fortress. From here, you also have a wonderful view of Salzburg and the whole region.
For fans of The Sound of Music, our Salzburg tour from Munich is just the right thing. Not only did the real Trapp family live in Salzburg, but the film classic was also shot here and in the surrounding area. Now you can trace the footsteps of Maria von Trapp and Julie Andrews. Together, we visit the beautiful Mirabell Garden, where Julie Andrews and the children sang “Do-Re-Mi.”
