In just two days you will visit and see most famous tourist destinations in Macedonia, including walking tours in Skopje and Ohrid & complementary visit to Matka valley.

Itinerary

MONDAY:
	09:00 - Morning walk in the city center and Skopje Old Bazaar with our experienced and professional tour guide. You will pass by and visit the Memorial house of Mother Teresa (inside) and her statue at the main pedestrian zone in Skopje; Gate Macedonia and the main square in Skopje; The Fountain and the sculpture of The Warrior on Horse representing Alexander the Great; Remains of Old Skopje the railway station (from outside); The Macedonian parliament and the park dedicated to a woman; The Stone bridge – the symbol of Skopje; The new Archeological Museum (from outside); The Museum of Macedonian struggle (from outside); The Holocaust Museum (from outside) Old Skopje Bazaar with its unique architecture and craftsman shops Church of St Spas (The Holy Salvation) with its unique iconostasis from 19th century (inside) Skopje Fortress Kale (inside)
	11:00 - You will be picked up by our driver to visit Matka valley. A lot of possibilities to escape from city life here – you can take a boat trip to the entrance of cave Vrelo or alternatively, hop aboard a kayak or raft and see the river Treska canyon by water. Or simply you can walk along the lake and enjoy nature. Coffee break at a nearby restaurant.
	15:00 - long-distance transfer to Ohrid. In less than 3-hour drive and one coffee stop, you will arrive in Ohrid. Overnight in hotel in Ohrid.
TUESDAY:
	09:00 - Ohrid walking tour will start this day. Because of the religious importance and its numerous churches and monasteries, Ohrid is also famous under the name “Macedonian Jerusalem”. According to the history facts, there used to be 365 churches – a church for each day! In the 12th century, the city was also the seat of the Archbishop of Ohrid. Since 1979 the city and the lake of Ohrid are under the protection of UNESCO. Do not miss to have a nice panoramic picture from Ohrid fortress and to visit remains of the first Slavic university in the Balkans, today founded in the Holy area of Plaoshnik. You will go inside the recently rebuild Church of St Clement and pass by the unique church of St. John – Kaneo and visit the cathedral 10th-century church, St. Sofia. Free time lunch at some of many traditional restaurants by Ohrid lake. Long-distance drive back to Skopje in the afternoon.
