All about the trip
Enjoy climbing the Via Ferrata in Děčín offering 14 routes to beginners and advanced climbers as well. Climb to the top of the Via Ferrata and see the stunning view of the river Elbe and the surrounding countryside. Visit Tisá Rocks Nature Reserve and explore the mysterious labyrinth of sandstone pillars and walls where The Chronicles of Narnia were shot.
No previous experience with climbing is required for the trip. We arrive to the city of Děčín after an 1.5-hour ride from Prague.
There, right in the heart of the city the Via Ferrata is installed on a 95-m high cliff. After a safety briefing we will help you into the climbing gear and you can choose out of 14 routes with different difficulty.
The routes are 150 to 170 m long and take you to the top where you can enjoy fantastic view of the Elbe canyon. From the top you take a hiking route back down that takes 15 minutes.
Then we visit a local brewery where we have a delicious lunch accompanied by local craft beer.
In the afternoon we visit the famous rock-climbing centre in Czech Republic: Tisá. We explore the rock labyrinth formed by 30-m high rock pillars, boulders of crazy shapes, tunnels, caves and sandstone towers.
