In 3 days you will pass and visit the most interesting cities and sights of west Macedonia, including walking tours in Skopje and Ohrid, complementary Matka valley tour & half day visit to St. Naum monastery.

Itinerary

MONDAY
	09:00 - Morning walk in the city center and Skopje Old Bazaar with our experienced and professional tour guide. You will pass by and visit the Memorial house of Mother Teresa (inside) and her statue at the main pedestrian zone in Skopje; Gate Macedonia and the main square in Skopje; The Fountain and the sculpture of The Warrior on Horse representing Alexander the Great; Remains of Old Skopje railway station (from outside); The Stone bridge – the symbol of Skopje; The new Archeological Museum, The Museum of Macedonian struggle and The Holocaust Museum (from outside) Old Skopje Bazaar, Church of St Spas (The Holy Salvation) with its unique iconostasis from 19th century (inside) Skopje Fortress Kale (inside).
	11:00 - You will be picked up by our driver to visit Matka valley. A lot of possibilities to escape from city life here – you can take a boat trip to the entrance of cave Vrelo or alternatively, hop aboard a kayak or raft and see the river Treska canyon by water (boat hire fees are not included in the price). Or simply you can walk along the lake and enjoy nature. Coffee break at a nearby restaurant.
	15:00 - Long-distance transfer to Ohrid. Arrive in Ohrid early in the evening. Overnight in a hotel in Ohrid.
TUESDAY
	09:00 - Ohrid walking tour will start this day. Because of the religious importance and its numerous churches and monasteries, Ohrid is also famous under the name “Macedonian Jerusalem”. According to the historical facts, there used to be 365 churches – a church for each day! In the 12th century, the city was also the seat of the Archbishop of Ohrid. Since 1979 the city and the lake of Ohrid are under the protection of UNESCO. Do not miss to have a nice panoramic picture from Ohrid fortress and to visit remains of the first Slavic university in the Balkans, today founded in the Holy area of Plaoshnik. You will go inside the recently rebuild Church of St Clement and pass by the unique church of St. John – Kaneo and visit St. Sofia, the cathedral church. Free afternoon in Ohrid to stroll on your own in narrow Old town streets. Overnight in Ohrid.
WEDNESDAY
	09:00 - Drive along the beautiful Ohrid lake to St Naum monastery. On the way, visit the Bay of Bones museum on water. Upon arrival visit the monastery (inside). Possibility to have a boat ride on the lake, above the springs of Black Drim river (not included in the price, to be paid on the spot). Free time to have a nice lunch at the restaurant located on a beautiful island along the springs. Afternoon drive back to Ohrid and after 3 hours long-distance drive with one coffee break arrival in Skopje.

Cancellation more than 30 days, prior to the starting date. Clients are automatically refunded the full booking price.
Cancellation within 30 to 10 days prior to the starting date. Clients are entitled to a 50% refund of the booking price.
